Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains what information Showmate collects when you visit this website or use the Showmate app (together, the "Service"), and how we use it. Showmate is currently operated as an early-stage, unincorporated business — if you have questions, reach us at contact@getshowmate.com.

2. Information we collect today

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and phone number. We use this contact information to let you know when Showmate launches, to keep you updated on your waitlist status and offers (such as the current $19.50/month early-access pricing), and to occasionally follow up about Showmate. If you email us directly, we'll also have whatever information you include in that message.

You can ask us to stop contacting you or to delete your waitlist information at any time — see Section 7.

3. Information the app processes

The Showmate app reads show, sales, and buyer-tag data from the live-selling platforms you connect it to, in order to print labels and generate analytics. That show data is stored locally on your device — it's yours, and we don't sell it. As Showmate adds account-based features (see Section 4), this section will be updated to describe any show or account data that also syncs to our servers.

4. Looking ahead: accounts, payments & analytics

Showmate is pre-launch, and some parts of the Service described below don't exist yet. We're including them now so this policy stays accurate as they roll out, rather than needing a rewrite later:

• Accounts — once Showmate requires a user account, we'll collect account details such as your name, email, and app settings, used to operate your subscription and sync settings across devices.
• Payments — subscription billing will be handled by a third-party payment processor. We won't store your full card number; the processor handles that in line with its own privacy and security practices.
• Cookies & analytics — this website doesn't currently use cookies or analytics tools. If we add them (for example, to understand site traffic), we'll disclose the specific tools used here.

5. How we use information

We use the information described above to: notify you about Showmate's launch and waitlist status; respond to your questions; operate, maintain, and improve the Service; and, once billing exists, process your subscription. We don't use your contact information for purposes unrelated to Showmate.

6. How we share information

We don't sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service — for example, the tool that powers our waitlist form, or (once billing launches) our payment processor — and only to the extent needed for them to provide that service to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.

7. Your rights & choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the contact information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, at any time by emailing contact@getshowmate.com. Show and sales data stored locally on your device by the app is controlled by you directly — you can export or delete it from within the app.

8. Data retention

We keep waitlist contact information until Showmate launches and you either convert to a customer or ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. We'll retain account and billing information for as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet legal or accounting obligations.

9. Children's privacy

Showmate is intended for sellers 18 years of age or older, in line with our Terms of Service. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy as Showmate's data practices change — including as accounts, payments, and analytics roll out — and update the effective date above when we do.
