Terms of Service
Effective August 7, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By joining the Showmate waitlist, downloading Showmate, or otherwise using our website or software (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 11.
2. What Showmate does
Showmate is a desktop application for live-selling sellers. It detects sales during a live show, prints buyer-tagged shipping labels, and provides show analytics, inventory, and show history. Showmate is a productivity tool for your own selling workflow — it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any live-selling platform it may connect to or read data from.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to join the waitlist or use Showmate. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you're using Showmate for a legitimate selling business, not on behalf of a minor.
4. Waitlist, accounts & subscriptions
Joining the waitlist reserves you a spot to be notified when Showmate launches; it isn't a purchase and doesn't guarantee pricing, availability, or a specific launch date. Once Showmate is available, it's offered as a paid subscription — currently advertised at $39/month with a 7-day free trial, and a limited-time waitlist offer of $19.50/month for your first 2 months. Pricing, trial length, and promotional offers may change at any time; we'll show you current pricing before you're charged.
You're responsible for keeping any account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You can cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation stops future billing but doesn't refund the current billing period unless required by law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Showmate for any unlawful purpose, or to violate the terms of a third-party platform you sell on
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with Showmate's software
- Resell, sublicense, or provide Showmate as a service to others without our written permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it
6. Intellectual property
Showmate, its software, branding, and website content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Showmate for your own selling business, subject to these Terms. You retain ownership of your own show, sales, and buyer data.
7. Third-party services
Showmate is designed to work with hardware and services you already use, such as thermal label printers and the live-selling platforms you sell on. We don't control those third-party products and aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy, or changes that affect how Showmate works with them.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Any time-savings, revenue, or efficiency figures shown on our website or in the Service (including our shipping labor calculator) are estimates based on limited early-tester data, not guarantees — your results will vary based on your show size, setup, and workflow.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
10. Termination
You may stop using Showmate and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Showmate evolves — for example, when we launch billing, accounts, or new features. We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
